Just a few words from Miss Ashleigh....who am I kidding. it's more than a few words. I talk way too much.
I can’t believe Christmas is creeping up on us! Which means Presentation Day is just around the corner. I can’t wait! It is truly a fantastic morning to showcase what the kids have achieved all year. Please don’t stress about the perfect ballet bun or which shoes the kids need to wear. Our aim is to keep the kids comfortable and happy so they give the best ‘performance’ possible.
We recently held High Tea with The Sugar Plum Fairy and it was a HUGE success. Due to the overwhelming positive response, High Tea with Princess Aurora is currently in development and I will give more details of this event earl next year, but check out the blog on High Tea with The Sugar Plum Fairy in case you missed the event.
Now onto 2020! We have a lot of students heading off to big school in 2020, including my own daughter so the timetable has changed slightly. Due to a few rising costs, there will be a small increase to fees for 2020 (roughly $1.50 per class). You will find that the fees will still be very affordable and value for money. We are expanding our afternoon classes for bigger kids and to work around school drop offs. Check out the timetable (link back in the newsletter). Enrolments will be open soon a. Keep a look out for that email!
In 2020 we are also adding the Smashing Show Squad. The Smashing Show Squad is for kids who would like to perform more often and extend their performance skills. It will be a group that performs at community events, nursing homes and maybe two or three small, local dance competitions. This group is open to everyone, the only prerequisite is that you are doing another class, either ballet or jazz to work on technique.
We are doing our January Summer Sessions again this year after last year’s very successful Earn Your Fairy Wings. January 2020 will see your kids Run Away With the Circus for a 4 week short course. There will be three short courses to choose from, ballet, jazz and acro, or you can do all three or just one. Head to the bottom of the homepage to book!
SO MUCH IS HAPPENING. SO EXCITING!
One more exciting aspect of 2020 is that I have decided to move Presentation Day to the end of Term 3. Why? Because Christmas time is just way too busy and it makes more sense to relax and enjoy the end of the year. Instead will look at organising an end of year party with some mini performances or just have a jolly good time for 2020.
Lastly, I would like to give a huge Thanks to Miss Nina. Unfortunately Miss Nina is moving back home in early December and I will miss her greatly. I know the Saturday jazz girls have loved her and grown considerably under her guidance. She definitely has the Smashed It Spirit and wish her all the best for the future.
There is probably so much more to share but I think that is enough from me.
Get ready for a wonderful Presentation Day! Pointe your toes, stand tall and Don’t forget to smile.
